The Incana are a feminine, fur-coated race. While they are officially classified as Feline, with retractable claws and filiform papillae on their tongues, parts of their body structure can differ from individual to individual. Some can look more canine, with sharpened snouts and pointed ears, while others can even have rodent-like features with furless tails and rounded ears. The patterns of their fur are mostly unlimited in their design as well. Beneath their fur, they sometimes have crystalline symbiont patterns. Any fur that grows there will be of the same color as their attunement, and will glow when they consume the soul of a Mek’Vatir.
They always have naturally soft pads on their palms and feet, including a heel pad. These pads always share the same color as that of their attunement, and can harden from extreme use and abuse. The pads of their hands are segmented into three sections for ease of movement. A unique feature of this race is their eyes, which can be of any color and generally has a tapetum lucidum. No matter the color of their eyes, whenever they absorb spiritual energy, their iris will always glow in the color of their attunement.
Since they tend to be fairly lightweight, their soft pads can sometimes make it difficult to kill the Mek’Vatir and collect their souls in traditional ways. Many Incana still follow the same cultural norms involving the use of the Mek’Vatir, such as dropping one in each shoe to begin the day. However, unless their paw pads are rough and worn, the Mek’Vatir do not quickly perish in that manner. Because of this, alternate methods of gathering spiritual energy are recommended in addition to tradition.
